thedailywhat:

YOU ARE OLD of the Day: John Scalzi introduces his 13-year-old daughter Athena — who was born half a decade after the MP3 was invented — to the music delivery system of yore: The LP.

[kottke.]

I’ll be the first to say this: FAKE. Terrible acting. This is not a genuine reaction. If she had literally never heard of it or how it works, and she were actually interested in it, her reaction would have been far more confused and incredulous.

Best line: “But…I don’t think this would fit in a CD player. What do you do with it?” Come on Athena, you know perfectly well it wouldn’t fit into a CD player.

“I don’t think this will fit into a CD player.” Am I the only one who prefers the sound of vinyl to CDs and mp3?

About

Avatar I do a lot of improv and work at NC State for the time being. I graduated from ECU with a degree in Theatre and a minor in Communication. These are things you need to know.

Oh and I also maintain another blog about improv. You can follow it here: Talking Improv

All the stuff you see on here is not attributed to me in any way. Unless I say so. In that case, it's totally mine and don't you dare try and steal it. If you do like something you see that is mine, feel free to say so by leaving a comment in the "Ask me anything" link at the top of this page. Also, try not to be a nunce and sue me because you saw something on here that was offensive or that was originally yours. Just be mad, curse aloud to yourself, and move on.
